Sensitivity Analysis in Multiconductor Transmission Line Networks
The paper deals with a technique of sensitivity calculation in linear hybrid networks containing elements with both lumped and distributed parameters when the multiconductor transmission lines (MTL) are considered as the distributed parts. The technique utilizes the modified nodal analysis (MNA) method to do overall description of the network enabling determining sensitivities with respect to b...
متن کاملAnalysis of Time Response of Lossy Multiconductor Transmission Line Networks
Systems are considered consisting of an arbitrary number of multiconductor transmission lines joined and terminated by arbitrary linear networks. The fines are assumed to be Iossy, with frequency-dependent parameters. The system is analyzed in the frequency domain, and the inverse Fourier transform is used to obtain tbe time-domain response.
متن کاملMulticonductor Transmission-line Theory in the TEM Approximation
Starting with Maxwell's equations, the transmission line equations are derived for a system consisting of an arbitrary number of conductors. The derivation is rigorous for long lossless conductors embedded in a uniform perfect dielectric. The presentation is essentially tutorial, most of the results being well known, at least for twoand three-conductor systems. The novelty lies in the point of ...
متن کاملA Multiconductor Model of Power Line Communication in Medium-Voltage Lines
Most power line communication (PLC) models are designed to date simulate power lines as two-wire lines. However, in alternating current (AC) electrical distribution, the two-wire option is seldom applied, and medium-voltage lines are most often based on the three-phase configuration. In this context, the influence of the ground, which constitutes another conductor with specific parameters, cann...
متن کاملExtraction of Frequency Dependent Transmission Line Parameters Using TDIUTDT Measurements
This paper discusses a method for extracting the frequency dependent parameters of lossy bransmission lines from TDtUTDT measurements. These parameters were extracted for stripline structures in printed wiring boards. Using short -thru calibration, the transmission line parameters were extracted using a combination of time windowing and rational functions.
